This Dairy Free Hot Fudge Sauce Recipe is compliments of Grandma Jackie, she is always making up great recipes to make sure the girls don’t miss out at family events……
“The families had a dinner with hot fudge sundaes for dessert. I never want my granddaughters to feel left out so I concocted this chocolate sauce that is so easy. It is gluten free, dairy free. Good for topping ice cream or dipping fruit. I’m thinking how tweakable this can be by adding almond extract instead of vanilla, or some essential oils such as peppermint or wild orange.
- 2/3 cup almond milk ( I used chocolate)
- 2/3 cup Enjoy Life chocolate chips (dairy, soy and nut free)
- 1 heaping tsp. coconut oil or ghee if your body can tolerate it
- tiniest pinch of salt
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
I used a double boiler and heated the milk to boiling. Add the chocolate chips and remove from heat. Stir until all melted. Then add the ghee, salt and vanilla. Serve warm or cool.That’s all there is to it.
