Healthy Snacks For Kids At School

This year my 5 year old will be at home half day doing homeschool and at a charter school the second half of the day.  I am always concerned about the snacks that are given out to kids and I have always sent her snacks for everything.  This year another mom that we had the pleasure of meeting last year at social group has a child that has the same diet restrictions as my daughter. He just happens to be in her class so we are teaming up to buy the whole class healthy gluten, dairy, soy and dye free snacks.  The trick here is finding snacks all the kids will eat since our kids are used to eating this way and my little Keely likes stuff like seaweed snacks, avocado sushi and olives to name a few.  Here is the list we will be posting in the snack cupboard at school and if any other parents want to contribute this will make it easy to find things for everyone.  We also try to stay away from soy: 1} because Keely has a  sensitivity to it,  2} over 90% is GMO and 3} soy is very high glutamate so an excitotoxin for the brain.    The fact that I know there won’t be gluten, dairy and dye in her classroom will put me much more at ease. A couple items do contain soy lecithin, I tried to make sure and confirm it is gmo free and organic.  I put a ** for those containing it.
