Wakame Quinoa Salad

I have a cupboard full of sea vegetables but haven’t known what to do with them.  This Wakame Quinoa Salad was something I made for us this week and it turned out really good.  Wakame is high in a variety of vitamins including vitamins A, C, E, and K, it’s a good source of minerals such as iron, calcium, and iodine. It has also been shown to have the potential to promote weight loss, lower blood pressure, and even reduce the risk of breast cancer.

  • 1 cup soaked Quinoa

Bring Water to Boil and add Quinoa, cook for approximately 15 min. or water is absorbed.

  • 2 cups Water
  • 1 strip Wakame

Soak Wakame in Water for 5 min. strain and chop into small pieces.

  • 1 Avocado diced
  • 1 TBSP Ghee or Coconut Oil
  • 1 tsp Herbamare or Kelp Powder

Add Ghee to hot quinoa and stir, if want it hot just add everything now.  If you want it chilled, chill quinoa and ghee and then add when ready wakame, avocado and herbamare.  If chilled you can add it on top of a bed of greens.
