We could eat this everyday for breakfast and again for dessert when pomegranates are in season. It is a sad day when we can’t buy pomegranates at the store anymore. It is the type of breakfast you look forward to as you climb out of bed in the morning and it is nourishing, filling and energizing. When pomegranates are out of season we use frozen pomegranates, fresh raspberries, strawberries, blackberries or blueberries but nothing compares to the fresh pomegranates.
- 1/2 cup Plain Dairy Free yogurt of your choice or Full Fat Chobani Plain Yogurt
- 1/4 cup Pomegranate
- 1 TBSP Dark Chocolate Chocolate Chips or Choc Zero Dark Chocolate Chips
- 1 TBSP Shredded Unsweetened Coconut
- 1 TBSP Organic Hemp Seeds
- 5 Raw Walnuts preferably soaked overnight for better digestion
- Maple Syrup to taste or if doing no sugar Choc Zero Maple Syrup
I like to put the yogurt in the bowl first and add the maple syrup and mix. Then I top with the rest of the ingredients. You can also put everything in and then drizzle with maple syrup. Serve with a cup of your favorite herbal or green tea.
